Project Should Aid Rainy Lake's Future (The Daily Journal, International
Falls, MN)
Larry Kallemeyn, an aquatic ecologist with the U.S. Geological Survey based
at VNP, called the project a positive experience, involving volunteers and staff
from a variety of agencies and groups. "Everybody came through with flying
colors despite the adverse weather conditions during the June sampling,"
Kallemeyn said. "Because of everybody's involvement and perseverance we now have
a much better understanding of water quality throughout Rainy Lake."
