Forestry Infomart
- Set priorities for conservation based on a varitey of important variables (species, enduring features, target birds, diversity)
- Identify high conservation value and high restoration value forests on an ecological subsection-by-subsection basis
The Missouri Resource Assessment Partnership (MoRAP) developed the Forestry Infomart at the University of Missouri with funding prodvided by the NASA/Raytheon Syngery program. The currrent focus is to provide information to federal partners, especially the USFS, EPA, NRCS, USGS, and USFWS. Current projects include the Identification of critical ecosystems and important bird areas, modeling of ecological systems, and evaluation of forest change and forst productivity in the Missouri Ozarks.
The Forestry Infomart was initiated in 2000 as a part of the NASA/Raytheon Synergy project. We develop and delivery information to inform decision support systems and impact natural resource management policy. Primary federal partners include the USFS, EPA, USGS, NRCS, and USFWS.
