Ronnie Lea
GIS Specialist
Ronnie started with MoRAP in the spring of 2000 as a student worker. He officially joined the MoRAP staff on a full-time basis the following year. His responsibilities have included development work on the High Resolution National Hydrography Dataset, Forest Productivity Modeling, Forest Change Detection, and Land Cover, as well as various other GIS and Remote Sensing projects.
Ronnie holds an A.A. from Columbia College and a B.A. in Geography from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In December 2005, he received his M.A. in Geography from the University of Missouri-Columbia with an emphasis on using Remote Sensing and GIS to address ecological issues. His thesis is titled: "A Comparison of Forest Change Detection Methods and Implications for Forest Management."
