Figure 1.2. The Jacks Fork River is located within the Ozark Highlands of Missouri and Arkansas. Since 1992, the USGS has carried out long-term channel monitoring and intensive biological sampling (Appendix A.2) at three reaches (yellow circles) within river corridor parks (in green). Ratcliff Ford, the middle study reach on the Jacks Fork River, is the study site for the two-dimensional flow modeling described in this paper.
