Figure 1.5.  Photographs of low flow habitats in the Ratcliff Ford reach.  Both photographs are taken looking upstream.  (A) Shows a riffle that forms at cross section 13 at low flow (Figure 1.4).  (B) Shows a glide in the foreground near cross sections 12 and 11, an edgewater along the right decending bank and, in the distance, a pool against the bedrock bluff that bounds the left descending bank.
