Case Description

The Hi View Terrace Superfund Site is an approximately 0.5 acre vacant lot located at 100 Hi View Terrace in West Seneca, New York. About 40 to 50 years ago fill was placed at the Site to bring the property up to grade for development. The fill was later found to be contaminated with cyanide. A removal action at the Site was undertaken in 1988 and 1989. During the removal operation the Site was enlarged to include a portion of 110 Hi View Terrace, and a small pocket of contaminated soil at 116 Hi View Terrace. A total of 5,600 tons of soil and debris were removed from the Site.
