This alternative will acquire an approximately 77-acre parcel adjacent to the Anderson County Prairie Preserve and place it under ownership of The Nature Conservancy and management by the Kansas Biological Survey, providing for enhanced native tallgrass prairie natural resource services, including migratory bird habitat nesting, foraging, and resting habitat, and habitat for federally listed Mead's milkweed.
