Project Description

Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, LLC will complete a pilot project working with state and non-governmental partners to implement an incentive program to encourage establishment of riparian buffers on private land along the South River, Middle River, and Christians Creek, improving habitat for wildlife and recreation. The project, “Healthy Streams Farm Stewardship Program”, will be modeled after prior successful programs in Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. In 2022, additional funds were approved to expand and continue this program (pending final approval of a scope of work by the Trustees).
