Directory of Federal NATURAL RESOURCES RESEARCH IN THE RIO GRANDE BORDER REGION

The Lower Rio Grande Ecosystem Initiative was established by the National Biological Service (now the Biological Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey) to address research and information needs along the Lower Rio Grande from Elephant Butte Reservoir to the Gulf of Mexico. To optimize communication, collaboration, and data exchange, the USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center has compiled this directory of federal government agencies with interests, responsibilities or programs related to natural resources in this region. The directory currently provides detailed information on agencies within the Department of the Interior. Information for additional federal agencies will be added as the database is expanded.
