Project Description

Augusta County acquired 6 acres of land to create a new public access point at Dooms Crossing along the South River at Dooms, VA., between two existing access points that are approximately 8 miles apart. The new access point at Dooms will create the opportunity for shorter trips, approximately 3 miles downstream of the public access point at Basic Park in Waynesboro, VA and approximately 5 miles upstream of public access at Crimora Park in Crimora, VA.
