Project Description

The City of Waynesboro will complete a project to improve habitat and water quality through restoration of managed turf to forest and meadow habitat and construction of urban Best Management Practices (BMPs) to manage stormwater runoff. The project will take place on land adjacent to the South River Greenway in Waynesboro, VA and includes design and construction of bio-retention facilities to treat two contiguous drainage areas that discharge to a tributary to the South River. This project will have benefit to water quality, wildlife habitat, and recreation.
